For grown-ups

Privacy policy

Pip's North Pole Mail is built for families, so we collect as little as possible and never ask a child for anything.

What we collect

Your account: your email address and password (or the email your Google or Lovable sign-in shares with us).

Your child's details, entered by you: a first name or nickname, an age range, an optional favourite colour, the letter text, and the wishes you add.

Sharing: a private link you choose to send, and a count of how often it was opened.

Usage: anonymous visit and click records that tell us which pages and store buttons people used.

What we never ask for

We don't ask for a child's last name, date of birth, home address, school, email address, phone number, photograph, voice recording, or precise location. If you choose to type any of these into a letter, it becomes part of the letter you control — please don't.

Who can see a letter

Letters live in your account and are visible only to you. Anyone you send the private link to can view the wish list and the child's first name, and can choose their own display name. Children never get accounts, and the child-facing letter shows no shopping, no advertising, and none of the grown-up notes.

When a Santa's Helper marks a wish as purchased, that's their own note to you — we don't verify it with the store.

Sign-in and cookies

Your sign-in session is kept in your own browser so you stay signed in. We don't run advertising networks or sell browsing profiles.

When someone clicks a store button

Wish list shopping links go through Pip's own redirect, so the store learns the visit came from us. Once you're at the store, that store's own privacy policy applies and it may set its own cookies. Affiliate programs we take part in — Amazon Associates, and Walmart and Target Partners through Impact — may record a referral cookie so a purchase can be credited to us. We never receive your order details or payment information. Read our affiliate disclosure.

Children

Pip's North Pole Mail is for adults to use on behalf of their children. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and every account belongs to a grown up.

Keeping your data, and leaving

Your letters and wish lists stay until you ask us to remove them. Email us and we'll delete your family's letters, wish lists, shared links and account — or turn off a single shared link if that's all you want.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Questions, or a request to remove your family's data? Email info@sendmysantalist.com.
